Sagara X Maryam - M43 in Vachetta Oil Horsebutt Natural

When we started talking with @maryam_tannery_italy about developing a leather together, I wasn’t looking to create something completely different.

What if we infused oils into this leather?
Not to change its identity.
But to enhance it.

I simply wanted a version that I’d personally enjoy wearing every day. A little more supple, a little more forgiving, while preserving the natural character that made me fall in love with their Vachetta Horsebutt.

The M43 was the obvious choice. Its clean pattern lets the leather do most of the talking.

The aged photo shows how this leather has already started to change after just a few weeks of wear. A richer tone, stronger character, and this is only the beginning.

As a small bootmaker from Indonesia, collaborating with a tannery we’ve admired for years is something we’re truly grateful for.

Maryam gave us the canvas. We turned it into boots. Now it’s your turn to create the story. Let the patina journey begin.

Pre-orders are now open. This leather is also available for Made-to-Order on selected Sagara models. 

Estimated lead time is approximately 6 months. House of Sagara members receive priority production, with an estimated lead time of around 4 months.

Sizing follows the Morgan Last. For narrow feet, sizing down half a size is recommended, as the new M43 last features a roomier toe shape.
